Common questions

• How do free photo credits work?

  PicSlim provides 3 free photo credits each day. If you select more photos than your available balance, you can still compress the number covered by your current credits.

• What does the Add 10 button do?

  Tap Add 10 to review an Advertisement confirmation. Choosing Watch Now requests one optional rewarded advertisement. Completing the advertisement adds 10 photo credits for the current day.

• Does PicSlim load an advertisement when it opens?

  No. The app may update Google consent information at launch, but it does not request or load a rewarded advertisement until you choose Watch Now.

• Do I have to watch an advertisement?

  No. Choose Not Now to close the confirmation. Available free and previously earned credits remain usable.

• Why does PicSlim say No Ad Available?

  Google does not always have an advertisement available for every request, region, or device. Your existing credits are not changed, and you can try again later.

• Why did the advertisement time out?

  An advertisement can take too long to load when the connection is slow or the ad service is unavailable. PicSlim stops waiting after 60 seconds. Check your connection and try again later.

• Where are my photos processed?

  Selected photos are compressed locally on your device. PicSlim does not upload selected photos or compressed results to our own servers.

• Why can PicSlim not save a compressed photo?

  Check that PicSlim is allowed to add photos in iPhone Settings. You can also use the Share action to save or send completed files through another app.

• Why is the output larger or different than expected?

  Output size depends on the original image, dimensions, format, and quality setting. Try reducing the quality or maximum dimension before compressing again.

• How do I remove PicSlim data?

  Compression preferences and credit information are stored locally. Deleting PicSlim removes its locally stored app data.
